Good morning.

This week's creative AI spotlight includes Nathan Boey's dynamic visualizer for Riize's latest K-pop hit, Dave Clark's charming "Maxx The Robot'' series, and some fantastic art from Steve Gleason's AI-generated gallery. Also I started this Real Creative project to showcase the most creative people and projects in AI. That said I'm also including a project this week of our own, where I worked with Reid Hoffman to create an AI generated version of himself. Nathan Boey has unveiled an AI-generated visualizer for K-pop band Riize's latest single "Impossible," featuring beautifully flowing visuals that masterfully capture realistic human motion. Despite the challenge of creating lifelike human movements using AI tools, Boey's exploration of new techniques paid off, leading to a visually stunning result that celebrates his collaboration with Riize.

Paul Trillo's "Notes To My Future Self" is a video art piece that captures the delicate interplay between the realms of dreams and waking life. Set as a two-screen projection for the "Window To The Future" exhibition at the Telefonica Foundation in Madrid, this series of portraits features 25 individuals sharing their personal resolutions against a hyperreal, AI-generated dreamscape.

Reid Hoffman

Reid Hoffman has developed an AI-generated digital twin of himself, engaging in a novel video format where he conducts an interview with his virtual counterpart. This project utilizes technologies from Hour One and 11ElevenLabs, along with a GPT-4-based persona, to explore dynamic content delivery and the introspective potential of AI avatars.

Dave Clark

"Maxx The Robot" is a 1950s sitcom-style series crafted by Dave Clark, showcasing the misadventures of a robot attempting to integrate into human society. In this episode, Maxx ventures into a supermarket to buy Ovaltine, only to be denied by a stubborn store clerk, giving Maxx no other option...

Former NFL player Steve Gleason, diagnosed with ALS in 2011, is experiencing a vibrant artistic revival through AI, despite the disease impairing his ability to draw. Using Adobe’s Firefly, which learned from his previous sketches, Gleason's AI-generated art series "Resilient Spirit" displays vivid, symbolic artworks in New Orleans, showcasing how technology can enable creative expression for individuals with disabilities.

Over the past 18 months, AI has both inspired and concerned creative professionals about its impact on their careers. After consulting with 17 creatives across various disciplines, it was found that while AI enhances skills and handles mundane tasks, the creative community values tools that support rather than replace the creative process.
